Appendix A - Handheld Interrogator
A.5.6 Chg Mode
This menu option toggles the operating mode of the interrogator between Excel, Optima and Optima Plus to
match the gas detector it is attached to. When invoked the mode is displayed in the identification banner (the
same as the one displayed when the unit is switched on) for three seconds as follows:

This menu option switches the interrogator off.

The unit powers down automatically after five minutes of non-use.
2.
The fast power off facility and auto power off are disabled when a menu option is selected that
modifies the unit's configuration.

Interrogator problems that occur during communication with the system or as a result of a command failure
will be displayed in the following format:
