4.2 Re-zero

(1) Using the SHC1 Handheld Interrogator, select CalSensor from the Calibrate menu. The analogue output
will be inhibited. (See Appendix A for details about how to use the Interrogator).
Note
There must be no gas in the system beam path whilst this procedure is carried out.

4.3 Functional Checking

4.3.1 Functional Checking with Gassing Cell (Short Range versions only)

Searchline Excel Cross-Duct incorporates a built in gassing cell for functional test purposes. In order to use
the gassing cell, the mounting block lid must be in place, to maintain a gas tight seal.
Before using the gassing cell for the first time, remove the ends of the plastic nozzles (with a knife or wire
cutters). Rubber end caps are used to seal the tubes afterwards.
