Removing the reed valve assembly

1. Remove the intake manifold bolts 1, and
then remove the intake manifold 2.

2. Remove the reed valve assembly 3,
gasket 4, plate 5 and gasket 6.

Checking the reed valve

1. Check the reed valves for bends a.
Replace the reed valve assembly if above
specification.

2. Measure the reed valve stopper height

Valve bend limit a:
0.2 mm (0.0079 in)
b. Replace the reed valve assembly if
out of specification.

Valve stopper height b:
75A: 2.8–3.2 mm
(0.11–0.13 in)
55D, 85A: 9.7–10.1 mm
(0.38–0.40 in)
