Removing the crankcase
1. Disconnect the breather hoses.
2. Remove the oil seal housing bolts 1.

3. Remove the crankcase bolts and nuts in
the sequence shown.

NOTE:
Insert a flat-head screw driver between the
pry tabs to pry off the crankcase.
4. Remove the oil seal housing.
Removing the piston, connecting
rod assembly and crankshaft

1. Remove the connecting rod bolts and
connecting rod caps, bearings.

NOTE:
9 Mark each piston with the identification
number a of the corresponding cylinder.

Also, mark each connecting rod and con-
necting rod cap with an identification num-
ber b as shown.
9 Be sure to keep the bearings in the order as
they were removed.
9 Do not mix the connecting rods and caps.
Keep them organized in their each groups.
