Installation Site Requirements Make sure you observe the following site requirements: ! Choose a location that is less than 100 m (328 ft) away from servers, workstations, or switches. Caution Category 5 UTP/STP cables are environment-sensitive. Make sure the cable route is not too close to electrical noise sources such as power lines or fluorescent lights. -
