Adjusting the Cutting Pressure
Cutting depth is adjusted by changing the blade pressure (cutting pressure).
The blade may cut too much or fail to cut depending on the type of material, temperature, and so on.
Therefore, we recommend advance testing and adjustment of the cutting pressure.
An appropriate cutting pressure leaves a slight trace on the release liner.
■ If the tape is not properly cut and cannot be
peeled off, the cutting pressure is set too low.
Increase the dial value, in steps of half
a graduation, so that the tape will be cut
properly.
Adjust the cutting pressure before use.
Continuing to use the machine with excessive cutting pressure can reduce the service life of the
cutting tool (blade).
It would also cut the release paper and could cause the machine to malfunction.
■ If the release paper has also been cut (as
far as the back of the release paper), the
cutting pressure is too high.
Decrease the dial value, in steps of half
a graduation until the release paper is no
longer cut.
