POWER SUPPLY
AC power operation
Connect one end of the AC mains lead to the AC INPUT
socket and the other end to a 230-
240V AC, 50 Hz outlet.

NOTE:
When the AC mains lead is connected to the unit, the
installed batteries will be automatically
disconnected.

The POWER button is mounted on the secondary side.
The unit is not disconnected
from AC power, even
switched off.
Battery
power operation
1.
Open the battery compartment
lid by pushing upon the
tabs.
2.
Install 8 "D size and 4 "AA/HP7/R6'
size batteries.
Refer to the polarity diagram on the back of the battery
compartment
lid. Match the (+) and (-) marks bn
diagram to the (+) and (-) marks on the batteries.
3.
Replace the lid.

IMPORTANT
NOTE:
CD memory backup
4 "AA/HP7/R6
batteries are necessary to retain the
number of discs loaded, the program contents and
the repeat setting in memory when the power is
disconnected.
CAUTION
WHEN INSTALLING
THE BATTERIES
To prevent
leakage
from the batteries,
which is
corrosive
and can cause personal injury and dam-
age to the unit, observe the following precautions:

The batteries must be installed correctly. Match
the polarities
(+ and - signs) on the batteries, to
the polarities shown on the back of the unit.
Do not mix new batteries with old or used batter-
ies.
Only use batteries of the same type and brand.
If the unit will not be used for an extended period
of time, remove the batteries and store them in a
cool place.
Carefully
follow the battery manufacturer's
in-
structions
for proper use and disposal.
DO NOT
ALLOW
YOUNG
CHILDREN
TO
HANDLE BATTERIES.
NOTE:
When the batteries
have become
discharged,
they must be disposed of in a safe manner that
complies with all applicable
laws.
