EMERGENCY SWITCH

( SWITCH )
Operation
1. This machine is equipped with a 2 HP 180V DC
collector motor. The voltage is 230V and this is
stepped up to 180V DC in the machine.
2. The motor is fitted exceeds 15A a warning single
will be heard and the machine should be stopped
immediately. Stop work and wait a few seconds
until the signal stops. It is then safe to resume work.
If you continue work instead of stopping and waiting,
thee machine will stop automatically after 2 seconds.
In this case you will need to start the machine again.
3. Spindle speed is from 200 to 2100 rpm. The re-
gulator for adjusting and setting the speed is easily
accessible on the front panel.
4. Replacing the belt or adjusting the belt tension.
- Open the cover above the belt pulleys. Use a
screwdriver to remove the screw on the front of
the cover and open the cover as much as possible.
- The motor is fixed in place with 2 nuts
(item no. 37). Lossen these.

- Adjusting belt tension
Use a spanner to tighten or loosen the bolt
(item no. 43 ) to achieve the correct tension.
- Belt replacement
Use a spanner to loosen the bolt (item no.43) and
release the belt tension. Replace the belt.
Set the correct belt tension by tightening the bolt.
- After adjusting the belt tension or replaceing the
belt, tighten the 4 nuts on the motor.
- Close the cover over the belt pulleys and fasten it
with the original screws.
5. Motor service
- The motor is a 2 HP 180DC model.
- The motor has 2 carnob brushes with a lifespan of
1,000 working hours.
Always replace both at the same time when the motor
output is low.
