5.3 Initialization of the basic units

When a new program is transmitted to the PLC, the old program is automatically deleted. It is,
however, advisable to reconfigure the basic unit with the factory parameters before sending a
completely new program:
Stand-alone basic unit
The default system configuration of the basic unit (see next chapter)
No program
A complete initialization of the basic unit with the factory parameters is obtained by selecting
the following in the main menu of the 907 PC 331 programming software:
"PLC Communic. 2"
and there
"2 Delete EPROM"
followed immediately by
"4 cold restart"
The other possible initializations are:
Initialization type
Power on
Enable PLC mode or "warm start"
Basic unit STOP/RUN button
Software " Cold restart"

- Clear the program in RAM
- Copy the Flash EPROM contents to RAM
- Clear the data in the RAM depending on the
configuration
- Copy the Flash EPROM contents to RAM
If there is no program in the Flash EPROM,
the RAM remains unchanged.
- Clear the data in the RAM depending on the
configuration
- Clear the program and the data in the RAM
- Copy the Flash EPROM contents to RAM
