17.2 Frequently asked questions

Problem
In standby, the display shows "System
Trouble".
No call when the alarm goes off.
Can't remotely control the alarm system
at emergency calls.
The remote control can't operate the
alarm system.
Wireless zones are not monitored.
The power indicator on the alarm panel
is not working.
The alarm system does not respond
when a zone is triggered.
False alarm for wireless zones.
When going through test the alarm is
not triggered after it has been triggered
once.
The LCP display does not work normally
or is unclear.
17.3 Guarantee and limitations
Even though this is an advanced and reliable alarm system, it is impossible to give a 100% guarantee
against burglary, fire and other accidents. The following restrictions apply to this alarm:

Burglars can break in through unprotected entrances or have access to sophisticated technical
equipment, which could invalidate the alarm system.

The system shuts down without power and the backup battery runs dry.
3
If installed in inappropriate places, the siren may not alert the residents.

The telephone line or the GSM network can be out of service for various reasons, if this
happens, then the alarm system will not be triggered.

Inappropriate installation of the sensors. If, for example the smoke sensor is installed in the
wrong place, smoke may not easily get into sensor range. The smoke sensor can not detect fire
in other rooms or on other floors.

Lack of maintenance can cause the alarm system to not functioning properly. Test the alarm
system at regular intervals to ensure that it works perfectly.

Entered wrong phone number.
The phone is occupied during the alarm.

There is a waiting period of 5 minutes
after each trigger, where the alarm
system can't be triggered in order to
save power.
Pin connection for the LCD is unstable.

Solution

Change the telephone number.
Set more than two numbers.
Set alarm system to make multiple
rings per calls, see [13.2 Number
Ring] on page 46.
Change battery.
Register and program the remote
control.
Adjust the distance or angle from
which the alarm system attempted
remotely.
Register your wireless device.
Examine the power supply.
Cancel the bypass zone.
Normal operation.
Cancel the wireless zone, change
the code learning and try again.
Wait 5 minutes after the first
trigger.
Examine the pin connection.
