Explanation
Number of device-specific diagnostic bytes
Diagnostics version
This contains the firmware version in ASCII code.
Example: 0x45 corresponds to revision "E".

chapter.

in this chapter.
This byte contains the logical number of the
VersaPoint module in the station in which an error
has occurred: the first module is the module
immediately to the right of the NIU. Passive devices
such as power modules without diagnostics do not
count as devices
This byte contains the logical number of the
VersaPoint module in the station (see #11 above)
The ID code of the VersaPoint module is used for
identification and is marked on the housing and
printed in the module data sheet.
The length code is used for identification and for
automatic setting of the data width. This is also
printed in the module data sheet.
