3.4 Blue Screen
If the screen is blue, re-boot the AlphaStation system. If the blue screen persists, verify the
AlphaStation as described below.
Verify AlphaStation:
On the entry and full PowerStorm 1000, connect the VGA cable from the AlphaStation
directly to the monitor. Disconnect the Hbus cable from the AlphaStation.
On the high resolution PowerStorm 1000, disconnect the Hbus cable from the
AlphaStation.
Re-boot the AlphaStation and check for normal operation.
If it does not re-boot properly, remove the Workstation Interface Board from the
AlphaStation and try again. If it re-boots, then call customer support to report a defective
Workstation Interface Board. Otherwise, go to the host AlphaStation troubleshooting
procedure.
3.5 Garbled Screen
If the screen is garbled, re-boot the AlphaStation system. If the garbled screen persists,
verify the AlphaStation as described below.
Verify AlphaStation:
On the entry and full PowerStorm 1000, connect the VGA cable from the AlphaStation
directly to the monitor. Disconnect the Hbus cable from the AlphaStation.
On the high resolution PowerStorm 1000, disconnect the Hbus cable from the
AlphaStation.
Re-boot the AlphaStation and check for normal operation.
