3-6. SERVICE MODE

1. Camera test mode
For the board adjustment and microcomputer upgrading, open "DBG MENU" of
camera test mode and follow each procedure.
The "DBG MENU" can be opened in the procedure below.
(1) Press the MENU button.
(2) Press the AE-LOCK button once.
(3) Press the release button once.
(4) Press the EXECUTE button while pressing the (DOWN) button.
If a failure occurs, exit the menu once and repeat steps (1) and later.
The operations except items described on "DBG MENU" are not performed
absolutely.
The camera may not properly operate when ones other than the specified item are
changed incorrectly.
2. Factory setting
The contents of setting except the mode setting in a camera system can be returned
to the factory setting in the procedure below.
(1) Set the power dial to PLAY with the card pulled out.
(2) Press the MENU button while pressing the SHIFT , SPOT , and release
buttons.
(3) USER_FILE RESET is displayed.
(4) Press the EXECUTE button.
In the procedure described above, all user files, and DISP ON/OFF and LCD ON/
OFF can be returned to the factory setting. The ID setting is also cleared.
The mode setting in a camera system can be returned to the factory setting in the
procedure below.
(1) Set the mode dial to USER.
(2) Turn the shift dial while pressing the SHIFT button and select "No.0 (reset)".
(3) Release the SHIFT button.
