Cylinder - Disassemble (H.50.C.26 - F.10.A.25)

435, 445, 445CT

1.
Clean the outside of the cylinder. If the hoses were
removed from the cylinder, remove the hoses.
2.
Fasten the tube in a vise or other holding equipment
can be used. Be careful not to damage the tube.
3.
Loosen the gland in the tube with a gland wrench.
4.
Use a gland wrench to pull the gland from the tube.
5.
To prevent damage to the tube, pull the piston rod
straight out of the tube.
6.
Fasten the piston rod end in a vise. To prevent
damage to the piston rod, place a padded support
below the piston rod near the piston.
7.
Loosen and remove the bolt and the washer that
connects the piston on the piston rod.
8.
Use a torque multiplier for the cap screws that have
a high torque value.
9.
Remove the piston from the piston rod.
10.
Remove and discard the seal, wear rings and
backup ring from the piston.
11.
Remove and discard the O-ring, backup ring, seal,
and wiper from the gland.
