TPI vs Span Control (d15 parameter)
The fan is controlled by the TPI method. TPI is self-learning algorithm. It tells the fan in which speed it has to run
in order to be most economy efficient. Not that it only sets the speed depending on the difference between
the room temperature and the set point temperature, it also figures out the thermo patterns in your house/
office to result into the best energy saving plan.
Thermostat air sensor temperature relies on MCU ADC count - the actual temperature relationship with actual
display temperature.
Expected TPI advantages:
- Self-adapt to different environment to find balancing point
- Fast response to reach set point
- Auto-recovery
- Fast stable response
Pipe sensor feedback delay
If pipe sensor temperature is below d25 parameter by 2⁰C, it will keep Fan output OFF. If Fan speed manual
fan speed is selected , the user can select – Fan ALWAYS ON when set to Manual-low/medium/high, or FAN
controlled by TPI/SPAN.
If d38 is set to Fan ALWAYS ON – then FAN will ignore the pipe sensor.
If d38 is set to FAN controlled by TPI/SPAN – then FAN will by running on manually set speed (low/medium/
high) but ONLY when pipe sensor will allow to run the fan.
