ERROR code 1001 – Unable to
recognize start of regeneration
ERROR code 1002 – Motor ran too
long. Timed out trying to reach next
cycle position
If other codes appear contact factory

a. Transformer Unplugged
b. No power at outlet
c. Defective transformer
d. Defective PC board
a. Outlet is on a switch
b. Power outage
c. Defective PC board
a. Bypass valve in bypass position
b. Meter cable disconnected
c. Restricted/stalled meter turbine
d. Defective meter
e. Defective PC board
a. Past power outage
b. Wrong time of day displayed
c. Time of regeneration is set
wrong
d. Control set at "on 0"
e. Control set at NORMAL + on 0
a. Valve has just been serviced
b. Foreign material stuck in valve
c. Excessive piston resistance
d. Piston not in home position
e. Motor gears not fully engaged.
Motor wires broken. Failed
motor.
f. Center drive gear reflector dirty
or damaged. Missing or broken
gear
g. Drive bracket incorrectly aligned
on backplate
h. PC board is damaged or

i. PC board incorrectly aligned on
drive bracket

Solution
a. Reconnect transformer
b. Repair or use working outlet
c. Replace transformer
d. Replace PC board
a. Use unswitched outlet
b. Reset time of day
c. Replace PC board
a. Put bypass in Service position
b. Reconnect to PC board
c. Remove meter and check for
debris
d. Replace meter
e. Replace PC board
a. Reset time of day
b. Reset time of day
c. Reset time of regeneration
d. Check with regen time option in
programming
e. Check with regen time option in
programming
a. Pres NEXT and REGEN for 3
seconds or momentarily unplug
power source from PC board
b. Check piston and spacer stack
for obstruction
c. Replace piston(s) and space
stack assy
d. Press NEXT or REGEN of
momentarily unplug PC board
power
e. Check motor and wiring
f. Replace or clean derive gear(s)
g. Reset drive bracket
h. Replace PC board
i. Reset PC board onto drive
bracket
