Figure A-1 Basic Configuration - Vislink UltraDecoder Operator's Manual

The UltraDecoder is composed of two subsystems integrated within the chassis namely a
control assembly and a decoder assembly.
Both assemblies should be updated in sequence, using the following procedures.
You require two formatted, blank USB sticks to complete the upgrade.
NOTE: Before attempting USB upgrades, ensure the USB stick is formatted to Fat32.
NOTE: Combined MP3 player/memory sticks are not compatible with the unit.
The assemblies use different update files:

The control assembly update is performed via the front panel USB socket and the file
is named: AUTOBOOT_P0016_xxxxx.

The decoder assembly update is performed via the rear panel USB socket and the file
is named: 9261update-xxxxx.
The upgrade files are available from our FTP site to download and transfer onto a USB
memory stick:
1. Download the above named firmware upgrade files, available from:

ftp://ftp.vislink.com/Vislink%20Products/Ultradecoder/Firmware/
2. Save the upgrade files to an easy to find location on your PC to copy later.
NOTE: Before attempting an upgrade, ensure there is only one upgrade file present on the
USB stick.
CAUTION: Ensure you use the Basic Mode configuration connections to perform the unit
upgrade, as in Figure A-1. For more information on Basic Mode (see Section 7.1).
