Smoke and flame detection

False alarms at small constant areas
Problem
Objects cause flickering motion, e.g. shadow
of a flag in the wind.
Continuous motion in the picture causes false
alarms, e.g. escalators.
Temporary motion causes false alarms, e.g.
roller shutter.
False alarms under 4 seconds concerning the whole detection area
Problem
Small bounding boxes of flame detection
cause false alarms.
Short false alarms for smoke detection.
Short false alarms for flame detection.
Upward motions (not locally stable) cause
false alarms, e.g. multi-level roller conveyor
storage.
Reflections of moving objects cause false
alarms, e.g. shadow of a moving tree.

Camera

If a fault cannot be resolved, please contact your supplier or system integrator, or go directly
to Bosch Security Systems Customer Service.
The version numbers of the internal firmware can be viewed on a service page. Please note
this information before contacting Customer Service.

The camera offers a variety of configuration options. Therefore, check that it works properly
after installation and configuration. This is the only way to ensure that the camera will function
as intended in the event of an alarm.
Your check should include the following functions:

Can you connect to the camera remotely
Does the camera transmit all the data required?
Solution
Add a flame mask.
Flame detection will be deactivated in this
mask.
Add a smoke mask.
Smoke detection will be deactivated in this
mask.
Add a smoke time region mask.
Smoke detection will be delayed in this mask.
Solution
Increase Min. Size for flame detection.
Increase Verification time [sec] for smoke
detection.
Increase Verification time [sec] for flame
detection.
Decrease Sensitivity for smoke detection.
Decrease Sensitivity for flame detection.
