A boost of 0db (0%) to 15db (100%) is a applied to make your sound thicker when increasing the
'Low', and airy and bright when increasing the 'High'. When the controls are set at 0%, the signal
remains unmodified.
5.10.3 Comp
Using a compressor will reduce the dynamics of your sound, but can also be used to create special
effects, such as pumping. The parameters of the Torpedo compressor are the same as for a standard
studio compressor.
Compression: Turn the compressor ON or OFF — and when ON, see the level of compression
applied to the signal, in dB scale.
Threshold: Control the signal level above which the compression occurs.
Ratio: Control the ratio of the compression.
Attack: Control the attack time, in milliseconds.
Release: Control the release time, in milliseconds.
Make-up Gain: Control the gain added at the output of the compressor.
5.10.4 Reverb
To enhance your experience with the Torpedo Studio, especially when playing with headphones, your
unit features a room reverb.
Room: The room type determines the type of reverb you will apply to your guitar or bass tone.
You have access to 8 different rooms: Studio A & B, Hall A & B, Cathedral, Crypt, Basement and
Loft. The 9th room, Custom, has adjustable parameters so you can create your own reverb!
Dry/Wet: Determines the amount of reverb to be applied to you tone.
Size (only adjustable for the Custom room): Sets the size of the room. This allows to create
very small rooms, like a closet or recording booth, huge halls, or everything in between. Please
