5 Configuring and using Torpedo Studio
5.1 The Torpedo Studio's interface
The Torpedo Studio parameters are organized in menus that can be accessed with various switches
and knobs.
You will find three types of controllers:
Two rotary encoders: output volume, navigation (NAVI)
Ten switches: SETUP, PROGRAM, COMPARE, SPKR/MIC, MIKING, POST FX, OK, ESC, two BYPASS
Two potentiometers: to control the SPEAKER Input gain, and headphones output volume
Every action performed appears on the main screen of the unit. The two-digit display lets you know
what preset number you are currently on.
Here is a representation of the screen displayed in PERFORM menu. The PERFORM screen is the
default screen you will see when first using the Torpedo Studio. This is the menu you will be on when
you are playing without editing or changing any parameter. From that mode you can navigate the
presets.
The mode of the selected preset (Simulation or Arcade) is displayed via either an S or A towards
the top right corner.
In the following paragraphs, we will illustrate all the commands and menus available from the left to
the right of the unit.
