From the server selection window, click
another server. Once a server connection is active, you can click
CA Server Status
Once CA Server is running and started on your computer, an icon will appear on the computer's task tray:
: CA Server is connected to the PBX and running.
If the icon is blinking green, CA Server is trying to establish a connection to the PBX.
: CA Server is not connected to the PBX, or an error has occurred.
Hovering your mouse over the icon will display a status message for CA Server. Right-clicking the icon brings
up a menu where you can reset the administrator password, open CA Web Manager, or terminate the CA
Server program.
Updating CA Server
It is important to always use the latest version of CA Server to ensure all features work properly. Contact your
dealer for more information.
Upgrading a CA Server Database from Version 2.0 to Version 3.0 or later
When you install CA Server version 3.0 or later on to a computer installed with CA Server 2.0, the CA
Server database will be automatically updated to the latest version. The upgraded server information will be
installed as CA Server 1 in the server selection window.
However, to combine several installations of CA Server 2.0 on separate computers into a single installation of
CA Server version 3.0 or later, the databases on the separate computers will have to be moved to the computer
running the newer version of CA Server. Use the following procedure to upgrade and use CA Server 2.0
databases from separate computers on a single installation of CA Server version 3.0 or later.
