Installing PCI Expansion Cards

The 6039P-E1CR16H/L can accommodate up to seven PCI expansion cards.
Installing an Add-on Card
Begin by removing power from the system as described in Section 3.1, and remove the cover
as described in Section 3.2.
1. Remove the shield for the PCI slot that you wish to populate. Verify that the card you
are installing is supported by the slot.
2. Seat the card firmly into the slot by pushing down with your thumbs evenly on both
sides of the card.
3. Use a screw to secure the top of the card shield to the chassis. The PCI slot shields
protect the motherboard and its components from EMI and aid in proper ventilation, so
verify that each unused slot is covered by a shield.
