Warranty

Each Colortrac Scanner starts its warranty period when first shipped from Colortrac to the
purchasing Distributor. Non-consumable parts that fail within the warranty period without
inappropriate influence or action will be replaced free of charge.
Distributors are required to identify faulty parts. To help identify faults quickly it is
recommended that Distributors hold spare parts. Parts that are replaced under warranty
must be returned to Colortrac using the address at the front of this manual.
When a Distributor requests a warranty replacement, Colortrac Technical Support will
issue them an RMA reference number. The warranty replacement is dispatched once
Colortrac receives the defective part. In exceptional cases, Colortrac may agree to send
a warranty replacement before the defective part has been received.

Warranty Period

The Colortrac warranty period is 2-years. The warranty period starts on the date the
product is handed to the carrier for delivery. The start of the warranty period may be
delayed by 3-months to coincide with its installation at a customer's site. To request a
deferment to the start of the warranty period follow the procedure on 'How to extend
warranty' at Chapter 15.1.
8.2

Consumables

under warranty. Consumables can be purchased from Colortrac. Those M Series parts
considered to be consumables are:
SingleSensor Glass Sub-Assy
Hold Up Roller Unit
