Available languages

Depending upon sub-class and equipment, the following keys and
displays are possible in the standard machine:
LED/
Function
Key
Call up or suppress the start back tack or final bartack.
If start backtack or final bartack are generally switched on,

0-I
the next tack is switched off by actuating a key.
If start backtack or final bartack are generally switched off,
the next tack is switched on by actuating a key.
Positioning the needle in top position or bottom position.
With the parameter F-140 (DA 220C) and/or 446 (DA40MS)
the function of the key can be determined.
1 = needle up, 2 = needle up/ down, 3 = single stitch, 4 =
Single stitch with shortened stitch length (if switching
between stitch lengths is possible)
The ex-factory setting is 1 = needle up.
Manual sewing in reverse.
The machine sews in reverse as long as the button
is kept pressed.
Supplementary thread tension
By actuating the key, the supplementary thread
tension is switched on or off.
Manually lifting or lowering the roller upper feed
Large stitch length on/off
Switching on or switching off the edge trimmer
yellow
LED display: If the LED glows, then the
green
Display: " Sewing motor is switched on "
selected function is activated.
Attention, risk of injury!
With the sewing motor switched on
(green LED glows), the following jobs
may not be performed:
- Threading the needle thread and
hook thread.
- Exchanging the bobbin, exchanging
the needle.
- Adjusting the thread regulator.
- All activities in range of movement of the
elements.
