Exchanging the needle

Attention! Risk of injury!
Switch off the main switch.
Exchange the needle only when the sewing machine is switched off.
–
Loosen the screw 1 and remove the needle.
–
Push the new needle into the borehole of the needle rod 4 up to
limit stop.
ATTENTION!
The needle scarf 2 must point to the hook point 3
(see diagram).

Tighten the screw 1.
ATTENTION!
After changing over to another needle thickness, the distance of
the hook from the needle must be corrected (see service
instructions).
In case this requirement of correction is not fulfilled, the following
errors could occur:

Change to thinner needles:

Change to thicker needles:
