When​ ​ i nstalling​ ​ t he​ ​ c rank​ ​ a rm​ ​ a ll​ ​ s urfaces​ ​ o f​ ​ t he​ ​ c rank​ ​ a nd​ ​ a xle​ ​ m ust​ ​ b e​ ​ c ompletely​ ​ f ree​ ​ o f​ ​ g rease.

Pedals

Check​ ​ r egularly​ ​ t hat​ ​ t he​ ​ p edals​ ​ ( 4)​ ​ a re​ ​ f irmly​ ​ s crewed​ ​ i nto​ ​ t he​ ​ p edal​ ​ c rank​ ​ a rms.​ ​ N ote​ ​ t hat​ ​ e ach​ ​ p edal​ ​ i s​ ​ e quipped​ ​ w ith​ ​ d ifferent​ ​ d irectional
threading.
The​ ​ l eft​ ​ p edal​ ​ h as​ ​ l eft-hand​ ​ t hread​ ​ a nd​ ​ i s​ ​ t ightened​ ​ c ounter-clockwise​ ​ w hile​ ​ t he​ ​ r ight​ ​ p edal​ ​ h as​ ​ r ight-hand​ ​ t hread​ ​ a nd​ ​ i s​ ​ t ightened​ ​ c lockwise.
On​ ​ e ach​ ​ p edal​ ​ t here​ ​ i s​ ​ a ​ ​ m arking​ ​ n ear​ ​ t he​ ​ k ey​ ​ s urface:​ ​ " L"​ ​ f or​ ​ t he​ ​ l eft​ ​ s ide,​ ​ " R"​ ​ f or​ ​ t he​ ​ r ight​ ​ s ide.
Tighten​ ​ t he​ ​ p edals​ ​ w ith​ ​ a ​ ​ 1 5​ ​ m m​ ​ p edal​ ​ w rench.
