Procedure 3
1. Cancel the mirroring configuration.
To release the mirror, select Program →Administrative Tool → Computer Management → Disk
Management from the Start menu.
Select Cancel mirroring from the menu appearing by right-clicking on the mirrored volume.
2. Delete all the volumes and partitions on the Solid State Drive to be removed.
To delete the volume/partition, select Program → Administrative Tool → Computer Management →
Disk Management from the Start menu.
Select Delete volume / Delete partition from the menu appearing by right-clicking on the
volume/partition.
3. Shutdown the CPU blade system and turn off the power of the CPU blade.
4. Remove the Solid State Drive.
5. Install a Solid State Drive.
6. Turn on the power of the CPU blade.
7. Delete the removed disk.
To delete the disk, select Program → Administrative Tool → Computer Management → Disk
Management from the Start menu.
Right-click on the removed disk in the Disk Management screen and select Remove disk.
8. Import the installed Solid State Drive.
To import the disk, select Program → Administrative Tool → Computer Management → Disk
Management from the Start menu.
The installed drive has a different format. Right-click on the installed drive and select Import disk of
different format.
9. Add the mirrored volume.
To add the mirrored volume, select Program → Administrative Tool → Computer Management →
Disk Management from the Start menu.
Select Add mirror from the menu appearing by right-clicking on the volume to which the mirror is
desired to be added.
10. If NEC ESMPRO Agent is used, reset the Solid State Drive (refer to Chapter 2 (1.7.4 Resetting
Management Information).
Important
Delete volumes and partitions carefully. Pay attention not to delete volumes
and partitions from a normal disk.
The volume and partition deletion disables the data to be recovered. Take the
proper action such as data backup if necessary.
