If you wish to permanently change the basic
settings, set as user "Basic Setting" (please
see Section 9.3) and insert your admin card
in the chipcard slot. By means of the sliding
controllers now change the proportional
intensity and then touch in the menu bar on
the button
Save
7. The changed settings are
then implemented as standard.
During stimulation the active channel is identified by an orange coloured marker
8
which is
located beneath the sliding controller. If the impulse changes to another channel, the marker
moves accordingly. Please note that the main intensity also during the adaptation of the pro-
portional intensity should be set to a pleasurable value for the patient.
Please Note:
When you are setting the proportional intensity, waves with which several
channels are active simultaneously, are reduced to simple waves. No overlapping occurs here
between the channels so that differentiation of individual channels is facilitated for your pa-
tient. When you return to the main menu, the set program continues to run with its specific
wave form/forms.
Now you can adjust the intensity of those
channels which are sensed by your patient as
being too powerful or too weak. Each channel
can be discreetly activated by touching the
sliding controller 1. The impulse changes
immediately to this channel. Now you have
the possibility to change the proportional
intensity level by use of the sliding controller
or by turning the rotary/pressure controller.
The intensity should be changed to the same
level as being sensed by the patient on neighbouring channels.
When you have activated a channel by touching, the impulse remains present there as long as
the controller is not moved for 5 seconds or until another controller is activated. If the button
Continue 9
is touched or no controller operated, the program specific wave continues to flow
over the individual channels.
If the stimulation is active, for reasons of safety the proportional intensity can only be
changed in steps of one percentage point. If the stimulation is paused you can move the slid-
ing controller swiftly into any required position (or directly by touching). However, it is rec-
ommended that the setting of the proportional intensity with paused stimulation should only
be undertaken once adequate experience has been gained in operations with the Sti-
®
maWELL
120MTRS System.
Touch on the button
Save
8, to save the changed proportional intensity in the patient profile.
