Ensure that the red lock status indicator on
the loop at the top of the rear bench seat is no
longer visible.
Top Tether can reduce the risk of injury,
since it provides an additional connection
between the child restraint system secured
with ISOFIX or i-Size and the vehicle.
The child restraint system must be equipped
with a Top Tether belt.
Top tether anchorage : is fitted behind each
rear seat to the luggage compartment floor.

Fit the ISOFIX or i-Size child restraint sys-
tem with Top Tether. Always comply with
the child restraint system manufacturer's
installation instructions when doing so.

Move the head restraint upwards.

Route Top Tether belt = under head
restraint between the two head restraint
bars.

Guide Top Tether belt = between the seat
backrest and parcel shelf into the luggage
compartment.
Remove parcel shelf if necessary

Move the head restraint back down again
slightly if necessary.
Make sure that you do not interfere with
the correct routing of Top Tether belt =.
Disabling/enabling the front-
passenger front airbag

WARNING
If the PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF indicator
lamp is lit, the front-passenger front air-
bag is disabled. It will not be deployed in
the event of an accident and cannot per-
form its intended protective function. A
person in the front-passenger seat could
then, for example, come into contact with
the vehicle's interior, especially if the per-
son is sitting too close to the dashboard.
This poses an increased risk of injury or
even fatal injury.
In this case the front-passenger seat may
not be used. You may only transport a child
on the front-passenger seat if they are
seated in a suitable rearward or forward-
facing child restraint system. Always
observe the information about suitable
positioning of the child restraint system in
this Owner's Manual as well as the child
restraint system manufacturer's installa-
tion instructions.

WARNING
If you secure a child in a rearward-facing
child restraint system on the front-
passenger seat and the PASSENGER AIR
BAG ON indicator lamp is lit, the front-
