The device count is not high enough to require a PS-1, and the non-PEC-1 allows 87% of the
IP phones and conference ports to be in use at the same time. This value is more than the
recommended 50%; therefore, the HX Controller platform is the recommended system.

IP TRUNKS

This sample configuration does not contain IP phones, but it has some SIP trunks with 20
conference ports and eight UVM ports. This system barely requires a PEC-1 because the SIP
trunks use compression and the need for 20 conference ports.
