Figure 13
shows the proper presentation of a tag to the BoosterPack plug-in module. Similar to the NFC
enabled phone, robust communication does not occur when the tag is presented to the IC circuit. Also, if
the tag is presented beneath the LaunchPad development kit, it is on the edge of the NFC communication
range of the BoosterPack plug-in module, and the LaunchPad development kit ground plane shields the
NFC communication.

Figure 14
shows the correct and incorrect presentation of two BoosterPack plug-in modules. When two
BoosterPack plug-in modules are used, the antennas on the BoosterPack plug-in modules should be
aligned on top of each other. The antennas have weaker coupling when placed side-by-side horizontally
or vertically.
