Configuring Sectors

You can define up to 8 sectors within the overall area covered by the camera. When the
camera is aimed at a sector, the sector name appears in the video window.
To set up a sector:

Configuring PTZ Speed

To set the PTZ speed, next to PTZ Speed, click Low,
Medium, or High.

Configuring Idle Motion

When idle motion is enabled, the camera performs a specified action (preset, tour, scan, or
pattern) when the camera is idle (receives no control inputs) for a specified period of time.
To enable idle motion:

Using the pan, tilt, and zoom controls below
the preview window, aim the camera at the
region that you want to define as a named
sector.
In the Sector section, select the Enable
check box.
In the Period Time box, enter the time that
the sector names are displayed when two
sectors overlap. Enter a value between 1 and 300 seconds.
Select the sector that you want to configure from the Sector No. list.
In the Sector Name box, enter a name for the sector (for example, "Courtyard").
Click Save to apply the settings.
In the Idle Motion area, select the Enable check
box.
Next to Idle Motion, select the action that you
want the camera to perform when it is idle for the
specified time. Click Preset, Tour, Auto Scan, or
Pattern.
If Preset or Auto Scan is selected, in the Number
box, select the number of the preset or scan.
In the Idle Time box, enter the time that the
camera must be idle before the specified action is performed. Enter a value between 1
and 60 minutes.
Click Save to apply the settings.
