Maintenance

If irregularities occur during operation, use the displayed error codes and messages to determine
appropriate next steps.
Repair or alteration of the device beyond the procedures described in this manual or by anyone other
than a person authorized by MSA, could cause the unit to fail to perform properly. Use only genuine
MSA replacement parts when performing any maintenance procedures described in this manual.
Substitution or incorrect installation of components can seriously impair performance of the unit, alter
intrinsic safety characteristics or void agency approvals. Failure to follow this warning can result in
serious personal injury or death.
Refer to EN 60079-29-2 (Guide for the selection, installation, use and maintenance of
apparatus for the detection and measurement of combustible gases or oxygen) and
EN 45544-4 (Guide for the selection, installation, use and maintenance of electrical
apparatus used for the direct detection and direct concentration measurement of toxic
gases and vapors).
