Removing and Installing the Paddle PTT

Recommended tools: mini flat-tip screwdriver.

To remove the Paddle PTT (for MTP850 terminals)

1. Remove the internal assembly from the unit. Refer to "Removing and
2. Remove the Retainer PTT by inserting into the rectangular hole and sliding
3. With the mini flat-tip screwdriver, pry the PTT away from the front housing
4. With the mini flat-tip screwdriver, pry the Bezel PTT away from the front
5. Remove rubber keypad PTT.
To remove the Paddle PTT (for MTP850 S and MTP850 FuG
terminals)
1. With the mini flat-tip screwdriver, pry the PTT away from the front housing.

To install the Paddle PTT (for MTP850 terminals)

1. Place the paddle PTT into Bezel PTT by inserting two tabs from one side of

3. Place the PTT assembly into the front housing by inserting one tab from one
