Open the Harmony System's Web browser interface to determine if the Access Point
has successfully partnered with an AP Controller. If the Access Point is not partnered
with an AP Controller, refer to the steps in Solution #1 above. Also, confirm that the
AP is enabled. A disabled Access Point cannot partner with an AP Controller.
Problem 5:
The Status LED is blinking amber.
Solution 5:
The Status LED will blink amber if the Access Point requires a new firmware image.
The Access Point receives new firmware images from the AP Controller. Refer to the
Harmony Access Point Controller Model 7560 User's Guide for information on
upgrading Access Point firmware.
Problem 6:
The throughput seems slow.
Solution 6:
1.
To achieve maximum throughput, verify that your antennas are well-placed, not
behind metal, and do not have too many obstacles between them. If you move
the client closer to the antenna and throughput increases, you may want to con-
sider adding a second Access Point and implementing roaming.
2.
Check the AP Controller's filter settings to confirm that it is not forwarding
unnecessary Ethernet traffic to mobile clients.
Problem 7:
How do I upgrade the firmware on an Access Point?
Solution 7:
The Access Point receives new firmware images from the AP Controller. Refer to the
Harmony Access Point Controller Model 7560 User's Guide for details.
