    (MG-RCV3) when used in conjunction with an Esprit security system or as a stand-alone system. When connected to an Esprit security system, the MG-RCV3 functions as an arm/ disarm module, whereby up to eight Magellan remote controls (MG-REM1) can perform actions such as remote arming and disarming, communicating panic alarms and activating programmable outputs (PGMs).

    Figure 2.4: PGM Connections 3.0 About Programming When programming a MG-RCV3 that is connected to an Esprit security system, all the programming sections detailed in this manual apply. When programming a MG- RCV3 in stand-alone mode, only the sections detailed in Table 3.1 on page 9 apply.

    3.1 Programming Methods When connected to an Esprit security system, or in stand-alone mode, the MG- RCV3 is programmed using an Esprit 636 or 646 LED keypad. The MG-RCV3 is programmed using a combination of the Decimal Select and Feature Select Programming methods.

    4.1 Set Code Length [35]: SECTION OPTION Set the MG-RCV3 to accept either four- or six-digit user and installer codes. How to set the access code length. In step 4 in section 3.2 on page 10: 1. Enter section [35].

    Esprit control panel, each of the following user parameters must be performed for every MG-RCV3 user. In stand-alone mode, assigning a user to the MG-RCV3 does not apply. Refer to Table 4.1 on page 11 for the relationship between the user parameter sections.

Each remote control button can be programmed to activate a different PGM.

    5.1 PGM Connection The PGMs are connected as detailed in Figure 2.4 on page 8. 5.2 PGM Output Timer [27] [30] SECTIONS This feature determines whether an activated PGM will toggle back to its original state after a specified time period has elapsed or when toggled (latched) manually.

    SECTION OPTIONS When a remote control activates a panic alarm, the MG-RCV3 can be programmed to activate one of the four on-board PGM outputs. Enable one of the options from [0] to [4] (refer to Table 6.1 on page 18) by pressing the corresponding keypad key.
