Operating the answering machine of the C385 base station
Activating/deactivating call
screening
While a message is recording, you can
screen calls through the loudspeaker of
the base station and registered handsets.

Setting up the answering
machine
The answering machine has already been
preconfigured at the factory. Set up indi-
vidual settings using the handset.
Setting call acceptance
You can set when you want the answering
machine to answer a call.
The options are: Immediately,
or 30 sec and Auto.
In Auto mode, the following applies to call
acceptance:

If there are no new messages, the
answering machine answers a call after
18 seconds.
u
If new messages are present, the
answering machine accepts a call after
just 10 seconds.
