Activating/deactivating handsets

Note:
The language set at the factory is English! For informa-
tion on changing the language to another language, refer
to page 47.
Off status: display clear – calls are not received!
On status: Base 1, for example, is displayed – prerequi-
site for all telephone functions, normal operating status!
Activating the handset:

Note:
The handset can only be fully switched off when it is
removed from the charging shell!
The handset is automatically set to "on" or message sta-
tus if it is placed in the charging shell (see page 16).
Press the on-hook key and hold it
down until the display changes to on
or message status (see page 16).
You will hear the confirmation beep
Press the on-hook key and hold it
down until the display clears.
You will hear the confirmation beep.
