Setup

This section provides an overview of how to connect and configure the DP DA2.

Place the DP DA2 in a suitable location.
If necessary, connect the DP DA2 to a control PC using either the rear panel RS-232
captive screw connectors or the front panel USB mini B connector.
Power on the DP DA2 and the PC and configure the DP DA2 as required, using SIS
commands.
Connect up to two display devices to the rear panel Output connectors. To record
EDID the display with the lowest resolution should be connected to Output 1.
NOTES:
• Both display devices must have resolution equal to or higher than the EDID
values being used.
• Extron recommends that the display connected to outputs 1 and 2 are
the same model or have the same native resolution.
Power on the display devices.
If necessary, record the EDID from the device connected to output 1.
Select the correct settings for DIP switches 1 and 2.
Connect the source device to the rear panel input connector.
Power on the source device.
