Other Troubles
Symptom
 The paper often jams.
 Multiple sheets are fed
at once.
 The paper is fed at an
angle.
Paper does not feed into
the machine.
The machine does not
start processing even
though you have
removed the jammed
paper.

the rollers in the fuser

[MPT is Manual feed] check box
on [Paper feed options].
Open and close the top cover.
Use paper stored in proper
temperature and humidity
conditions.
Press the <SETTING> key and then
select [Paper Setup] > [(tray
name)] > [Media Weight].
Then, specify a lighter weight.
Press the <SETTING> key and
then select [Paper Setup] >
[(tray name)] > [Media Type]/
[Media Weight]. Then, specify
the appropriate values.
Or, specify the heavier weight in
[Media Weight].
Use heavier paper.
Have a margin on the leading edge
of the paper.
For duplex printing, leave a margin
in the leading and bottom edges.
