5. Measurements

5-1 Real time measurement

1. Turn on Power SW ① and confirm an indication of LCD.
Turning on Power while pressing the probe to the object indicates 「LLL」 once on the display and then
displays a measuring value in 2 to 3 seconds.
2. Select a mode suitable for the measuring object by pressing a Mode Change key「G」 ③.
(refer to 4-3 changes of measuring modes on page 5)
3. Wait for reading the display until the display has become stable by pressing Electrode against the measuring
object. (note 1)
4. Press a Hold Average key ② to display 「0.0 %」 with a sound of "Peep".
When probing an object, it emits "peep, peep" sounds and when releasing it,
a " peep" sound again with a measured valued indicated on LCD ⑦.
* Do not probe other object until the above sounds of 3 times has finished
otherwise that may cause measurement errors.
An indicated value does not change when a measured value indicates not
more than the measurement range.
When a measured value indicates not less than the measurement range,
「HHH」 blinks with sounds of " peep, peep, peep".
Releasing a probe displays「0.0%」.
5. Press a Hold・Average key ② again for releasing the Hold state.
Note 1) Measuring moisture content of the inside of an object:
A Press-Type-Rubber Electrode is aiming at measuring moisture of the surface and its neighbors of an
object.
When the surface only of a measurement object is considered too dry due to direct sunlight,
wind blows, etc. take the measurements after the object has been left for 30 Min.to 1 hr. with being
covered with a 30 cm or so squared-vinyl sheet, used papers and the like.
Or, use a deep electrode for concrete (option) after digging a hole.
