    5. PREPARATION 5-1. Preparation of the zero plate Prepare the substrate which is the same kind, thickness and shape with an object to be measured. The attached zero plate for checking the Meter, SUS 430 Ferrite stainless steel, is used for the operation check of the Meter. Prepare the substrate of an actual object to be measured.

Place the standard thickness plate on the zero plate, and press the probe against it. Select a little thicker standard thickness plate than a film thickness to be measured.
