Configuring XT Series to use LDAP Directory

About this task
This procedure describes how to manage the contacts of your endpoint using different types of
LDAP servers. All are accessed using the H.350 protocol, which enhances the LDAP standard to
include video endpoint information.
You can define multiple LDAP servers in the XT Series. Select one from the Server field in the
Contacts page to view its contacts

You can define the following types of LDAP servers:
• The local built-in LDAP server
There is only one local LDAP server which cannot be removed, and has a password. Contacts
in the local LDAP server are called "Favorites". You can edit, create or delete local contact
details there

• A remote XT Series's built-in LDAP server
