4.2.5 Starting the installation

Before you begin, make sure:
You have created a mirror volume for Windows installation. We recommend
you install the operating system on a RAID-1 mirror rather than a single disk.
See "Configuring SCSI controller and internal disks" on page 74.
You use a GPT disk for the installation. If you are about to install Windows on
a disk previously used by an IA-32 system (with a MBR disk structure), follow
the procedure discussed in "Deleting the disk content" on page 78.
Tip: If the disk you install to is still an MBR disk, the installation procedure
will prompt you and will convert the disk to a GPT structure.
There are two ways to start the operating system installation: automatically or
manually.
Booting the installation CD automatically
From the Boot Manager menu, select the CD-ROM in the list (as shown in
Figure 4-11) and press Enter.

For three seconds, there will be a message on the screen Press any key to
boot from CD-ROM . If you do not press any key, the installation will not start and
you will return to EFI.
