Starting the utility programs

This section provides the instructions for starting the utility programs. For more
detailed information about these utility programs, see the User's Guide on the IBM
xSeries Documentation CD.

Using the Configuration/Setup Utility program

The Configuration/Setup Utility program is a menu-driven utility program that is part of
the BIOS code that comes with your server. You can use it to:
Complete the following steps to start the Configuration/Setup Utility program:
1. Turn on the server and watch the monitor screen.
2. When the message Press F1 for Configuration/Setup appears, press F1.
3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

Using the SCSISelect Utility program

SCSISelect is a built-in, menu-driven configuration utility program that you can use to:

The following sections provide the instructions needed to start the SCSISelect Utility
and descriptions of the menu choices available.
Complete the following steps to start the SCSISelect utility program:
1. Turn on the server.
