PRE-OPERATION

Before you turn the power on:
1. Check that the tool chuck and cutter are tightly secured.
2. Check each machine part to confirm that no parts are loose.
3. Check the speed adjustment has been set to the correct speed.
4. Check that the work piece is securely fixed to the machine with a vice or clamps.
5. Remove any obstacles from around the machine and the work area.

DURING OPERATION

WARNING! Do not wear gloves, loose fitting clothing, or jewelry when using the machine.
1. Select and install the correct cutter securely.
2. The machine will shake under the following conditions:
a. The depth of the cut is too deep.
b. The feeding speed is too fast.
c. The rotation speed is too fast.
d. The machine and the work piece are not firmly secured.
e. The vice or clamps and the work piece is not firmly secured.
STARTING UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS
1. Take all necessary precautions and ensure that the work piece is fixed securely.
2. Set the speed range control lever to either High or Low as required.
3. Proceed to start the unit as described in the Initial Start section.
NOTE: The power supply system of this unit has an auto over-load protective function. If the feeding is too fast
or drilling is too deep, the system will stop working and a yellow light (B) will light up. Simply turn off the
variable speed control knob (D) and then turn it on again. The system will work again and the yellow light will shut
off automatically.
Drilling Or Deep Milling
1. According to the Installation And Removal Of The Tapered Shank section, install the appropriate accessory
and tighten securely.
2. Select the appropriate speed level.
CAUTION! Do Not change the High / Low speed setting while the spindle is running.
3. Use a vice or clamps to secure the work piece on the working table.
4. Adjust the working table (longitudinal axis Y) and the saddle seat (cross axis X) to the desired position.
5. Loosen the limit block handle and adjust the blocks to the desired position.
NOTE: Do not allow the tool to contact the work piece yet.
6. Remove the adjusting tools and all obstacles that may be around the machine.
7. Turn on the main power. Adjust the spindle speed to the appropriate speed for drilling or deep milling.
8. Refer to the ruler on the fuselage to observe the drilling or milling depth.
9. Once you have finished working, turn off the power and raise the spindle to the upper position.
10. Release the work piece, taking care not to allow the work piece to fall.
11. Blow out dust and debris from the machine with compressed air. If compressed air is not available, clean
the machine with a soft brush or clean cloth.
