ADJUSTING THE TIP ANGLE OF THE FUSELAGE
CAUTION! Remove the unit from its power source before changing
any accessories.
1. Hold the fuselage by hand to keep it from falling.
2. Loosen the lock nut (a) with a large wrench (b).
3. Adjust the fuselage tip angle as you need.
NOTE: The maximum movement is 45° both left and right.
4. Secure the fuselage in place by tightening the lock nut (a).
MITER WEDGE ADJUSTMENT
Constant vibration and wear will cause the components to become loose.
Tighten the adjusting screws to create more pressure between the two machine
parts (ie. The spindle box and the fuselage).Check the unit for loose parts to
maintain its mechanical precision.
The following components will need to be checked for looseness whenever
the unit is used:
1
Base and saddle seat slide face
2
Saddle seat and the working table slide face
3
Fuselage seat and the connecting strut slide face
4
Fuselage and spindle box slide face
NOTE: When not in use, keep the spindle box at the highest position.
To Adjust:
1. Loosen the lock nuts.
2. Adjust the pressure of the miter wedge by adjusting the lock nut.
If necessary, adjust the adjusting screws as well.
3. Tighten or loosen the adjusting screws and keep in mind that the pressure for each
adjusting screw must be the same.
4. Adjust the middle portion first and then go toward the interior from the two sides
consistently to ensure a uniform pressure is exerted.
5. Tighten the lock nut when the proper adjustment has been made.
NOTE: Use the #3 interior hexagonal wrench to hold the adjusting screw in place when
fastening the lock nut to avoid rotating the adjusting screw out of position.
