FoLd the windshieLd wiper arm away from
the gLass.

On the upper end of the wiper arm atthe
corrugation, squeeze the pLastic retainer to-
gether on both sides in the direction ofthe

The front wiper bLades measure Left si de
23.20 in. (S90 mm) and right side 18.S0 in.
(470 mm) in Length,
Clean your wiper bLades regularLy with a wind-
shieLd washer soLution to prevent streaking. If
the bLades are very dirty, for exampLe with in-
sects, carefuLLy cLean the bLades with a sponge
or a soft brush.
If the wiper bLades begin to streak the wind-
shieLd, this couLd be caused by residue left on
the windshieLd by automatic car washes.
FiLl the windshieLd washer container with a
speciaL soLution avaiLable at your authorized
Audi deaLer to remove the residue.
Be sure to inspect the condition of your wiper
bLades reguLarly. For safety reasons, replace
your wiper bLades once or twice a year if nec-
essary. See your authorized Audi dealer for re-
pLacement bLades.

WARNING
- Clean your wiper bLades reguLarly with a
windshieLd washer solution to prevent
streaking. Ifthe wiper bLades are very
dirty, for exampLe with insects, carefuLly
cLean the wiper 151:ades with a sponge or a
soft brush.
- For your safety, you should repLace the
wiper bLades once or twice a year. See
your authorized Audi dealer for repLace-
ment bLades.

- The windshield wiper blades must onLy
be repLaced when in the service position

ing the paint on the hood or the wind-
shieLd wiper motor.

tem, aLways Loosen bLades which are fro-
zen to the windshieLd before operating
wipers.
_ To heLp prevent damage to wiper bLades,
do not use gasoline, kerosene, paint
thinner, or other solvents on or near the
wiper bLades.
_ To heLp prevent damage to the wiper
arms or other components, do not at-
tempt to move the wipers by hand.

Tips
_ CommerciaL hot waxes applied byauto-
matie car washes affect the cLeanability
of the gLass surface.
_ The front wiper bLades are different
lengths; the bLade on the driver's side is
Longer.

Tips
To avoid inaccurate directions, do not al-
Low any remote controLs, eLectricaL sys-
tems, or metaL parts close to the mirror.
Setting the magnetic deflection zone
Applies ta vehicles: with digital compass
The correct magne tic def/ection zone must be
set in order to display the directions correct/y.
