This procedure requires that the server is removed from the rack. Removing all front-side and
back-side components lessens the weight of the server.
Use this procedure to replace a failed bus bar midplane assembly.
This procedure requires a Phillips screwdriver.
Before You Begin
1.
Prepare the server for cold service. See

At the front of the server, remove all eight fan modules. See

At the rear of the server, remove any cables attached to the rear of the server.
Before removing cables, label each one, noting its connection point.
