Possible cause
There is
insufficient room
to save more
images on the
optional memory
card.
The camera is
completing a
process, such as
saving the last
picture you took.
The camera is
recharging the
flash.
The focus
distance is
beyond where
the camera can
focus in Macro
Exposure
Mode.
The focus
distance is closer
than the camera
can focus in
Macro
Exposure Mode.

Solution
Unload images from the
camera to your computer,
then delete all images on
the memory card (see
Delete on page 52). Or
replace the card with a
new one.
Wait a few seconds for the
camera to complete the
process before taking
another picture.
It takes longer to charge
the flash when the
batteries are low. If you
see this message a lot, you
may need to replace or
recharge the batteries.

range of 0.1 to 0.8 m
(2.5 to 32 in), or change
